Yes! There are 21 hours of CE RACE approved for all 50 states (including NY).
We don't have the bandwidth to provide childcare at this conference but infants are welcome. Pumping/Nursing rooms will be available.
Wonderful! Beaufort is a great destination for a family vacation! Although our conference is not designed to include guests, your family is welcome to join you and play in town or at the beach while you learn and recharge! There are many VRBO options in the Beaufort area. My personal favorite is Fripp Island (which is about 25 minutes away from the conference venue.) It is a fabulous place for families to stay and play!
Currently the "main stage" speakers are all small animal, but we are looking into the option of having break out rooms with large animal CE. So no guarantees, but we are trying our best to be all things for all people. :)
Yes! We understand that you are planning to attend this event 11 months in advance, and life happens! You are welcome to give away or resell (aka transfer) your ticket to another MWADVM if you cannot make it. However, you must alert our team of this change so we can adjust our registration list. (Please email jessica@toegrips.com.)
Conference Registration is $599 plus $49 non-refundable registration fee
Tickets are refundable up to 30 days out from the conference (so through April 1, 2024). After that they are still transferrable, but not refundable because that's when we have to finalize our headcount. All refunds made prior to April 1 will not include the $49 non-refundable service fee. Refundable amount will be $599.
God forbid, but if that would happen, your ticket would automatically convert to virtual. You would receive your CE hours and certificate...and a swag bag full of encouragement would be mailed to your door! Again, due to non-refundable deposits for the event, no refund would be offered for your ticket. Please consider this when deciding whether or not to attend the event in 2024.
God willing, we hope to hold a future Veterinary Encouragement CE by the Sea reunion, but this will be the last conference in the 2022, 2023, 2024 trilogy.
Savannah, Georgia is a small, easy-to-navigate airport that is about 1 hour from downtown Beaufort. After a short stint on I95, the route is simple and takes you over marshes and rivers.
Charleston, SC is about 1.5 hours away and is more likely to have a direct flight option from a city near you. The drive from the airport to Beaufort along US-17 is beautiful and easy.
The answer is: if at all possible, YES! While the conference venue (USCB Center for the Performing Arts) is within walking distance (7 blocks) of the main conference hotel, there are a few places where transportation will be needed and not provided:
a. Getting from the airport to Beaufort
b. (Optional) Wednesday Hunting Island State Park Beach Day (about 30 min from downtown Beaufort)
c. Wednesday night's Welcome Party (about 15 minutes from conference hotels)
Beaufort has only a few Uber drivers, so that is not a reliable means of transportation. Ideally you'd drive in, rent a car, or pre-arrange a carpool situation with friends. Thank you in advance for helping with this one!
- Transportation to/from the airport to Beaufort
- Transportation to Hunting Island State Park (for optional Beach Day)
- Admission to Hunting Island State Park ($8 per person)
- Thursday and Friday night Dinner on the Town (on your own)
- Potential optional subgroup dinners
- Childcare
Yes, Virtual conference registration will open in January 2024.
Only babies are allowed as guests. We are limited by space and budget to host only our veterinary mom attendees. Thank you for your understanding.
